Fleece is a synthetic soft deep-pilled fabric made of polyester and can be produced in different thicknesses : the bigger the figure expressed in gr/m² the thicker the fleece. Fleece is a knitted fabric, it has a deep, soft nap or pile, obtained by heavily napping with wire brushes or with a pile weave, in order to get a fluffy surface.
In this way fleece gets a high insulation property without too much weight, having good resistance. The surface can be also impregnated in order to get it water-resistant. The fabric is breathable, with soft touch on the skin, anti-allergic and also recyclable. The nap wears out in time, but anti-pilling can prolong its life span.
